Purpose: To raise money to aid the Jessamine Humane Society.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Jessamine Humane Society is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to the protection of all animals from cruelty and exploitation and to the elimination of pet overpopulation. Working to insure the well-being of all animals, the JHS is committed to educating the public about responsible pet ownership, advocating the humane treatment of all animals, and inspiring compassion toward every living creature.

The Spirit of the Skelter:

This is a family focused event and we encourage you to bring your kids and your dogs to walk or run with you.

Skelter Information

Date: Saturday, May 31, 2008
Time: Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., Race begins at 9:00 a.m.
Place: Camp Nelson-White House - Nicholasville
Entrance Fees: Pre-registration is $15. $20 after May 19.
Additonal Fees: Everyone is asked to bring a can/bag of cat/dog/kitten/puppy food, or donate an additional $2.00 to Jessamine Humane Society.
Race CourseRoad Race
Awards will be given to the top three men and top three women racers, as well as the top 3 finishers in the following age/gender groups:

2007 Skelter Trophy


Race T-shirts will be given to the first 200 entrants. Ball caps will be given to the next 100. Additional shirts or caps can be ordered after the race at $10/shirt and $5/cap.
